As the name suggests this is the phase that all new business people start out at. You and you alone determine your fate. Unfortunately, this phase also has the most attrition as people come and go in that industry.
Your role in this phase is primarily to learn the products and/or service available, and to learn how to best deliver it with a solid marketing plan to get a steady source of business coming your way.
Common mistakes in this phase are where you are putting your time and effort solely on marketing and not learning the products or proper packaging techniques. The trouble is when you do get a deal to work on you don’t know what to do or how to do it and then flounder which puts your relationship with that referral source in serious jeopardy.
